Permission Slips For Paradise

Permission Slips For Paradise

I am so thankful for all the wonderful people, places, things, ideas, and states of being that assist me to create and resonate profound well-being.  To that end, the new purpose of this blog is to share the wonderful people, places, and things that assist me in living Heaven On Earth.

Today's Permission Slip: I find that a mini moment meditation can be a brief yet profound gateway into bliss.  One of my favorites is brought to us by Thich Naht Hahn:

"Breathing in I calm my body. Breathing out I smile. Dwelling in the present moment, I know this is a wonderful moment." ~Thich Nhat Hanh
“Breathing in I calm my body.
Breathing out I smile.
Dwelling in the present moment,
I know this is a wonderful moment.”

Potency & Potential...Surfing The Waves

Potency.  Potential.

It has been said there is no magic pill.  But what if there is?  What if there is a person, place, thing, circumstance, or conversation that is so potent and filled with potential that it catapults you into your next miraculous experience?  And what if that very opportunity is occurring right now?

I've had the privilege of enjoying several potent and powerful conversations, moments, opportunities, goods, and services.  So when free opportunities are presented that could be potential "permission slips" for greater well-being I am always happy to share.

Below are some health and wellness companies that are offering complimentary samples of their  bars and supplements.  Let me know what you think.

Let Them Eat Cake!

True story, I am cook after Paula Deen’s own heart (e.g lots of butter and lots of love) and a closet fitness guru.  While those things may seem mutually exclusive and dare I say it, even blasphemous to some- I don’t think so.  What if we can have our cake and eat it too (literally and figuratively)?

My name is Kristen and the purpose of my blog  is to share my journey with those looking for a different way.  What if it is possible to have achievement through self-acceptance, fun, and pleasure rather than self-denial?  We have been told time and time again that there is no reward without struggle and suffering.  Well, what if that is one way but not the only way?  What if there is a better way just for you?  What if there is a joyful way to have your dreams come true? What if you truly can have your cake and eat enjoy it too?  ...In all the most wonderful ways for you?  Would you like to join me on this journey!?!

Welcome friends :)

Welcome to Your Right to Write

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to use this blog as support for your spiritual writer's journey.  Now you maybe saying that you are not a "spiritual" writer per say; however, regardless of your genre or  level of experience you are a being with a spirit who enjoys exercising your acumen for the written word.  Therefore you are indeed a spiritual writer.  This blog is intended to nourish both your creativity and your soul  with humor, insights, encouragement, and stories.   You are a magnificent beautiful bright light in this world and your story deserves to be heard.  Express, celebrate, appreciate, and love.  Use this as a tool to connect with fellow journey(wo)men, soul family, dreamers, visionaries, like-minds, and supporters.  Together we can be the change that we want to see in this world.

In order to help facilitate powerful positive change and lend support to our intentions, I have chosen to work with Julia Cameron's  "The Right to Write" lessons in this blog.

"Initiation Tool 1: Start at the top of page one and for three pages describe how and what you are feeling right now."

Excerpt from my writing:
My childhood home is nestled in the midst of a tree filled clearing with a pool and a lake in the back yard.  It is a very idyllic setting.  Nevertheless I need to express this wee bit of angst as I have begun a new eating regimen and there is a deep longing for the carb filled comfort and caffeine caresses.  I am a little unnerved by the sobriety of it all.  I like to live my life a little  nestled at the intersection of "whimsy" and "hedonism".

It is a pleasure to share this space with you.  Please leave me a comment and stayed tuned for the next installation of Adventures With Bliss Kris...
